Frequently Asked Questions about Garden Saunas
Can I use a garden sauna in summer in Spain?
Yes. It may sound contradictory, but a sauna at 60-70°C followed by a cold shower is one of the best ways to regulate body temperature in summer. Many users prefer it in short sessions early in the morning or at the end of the day.
How much electricity does a sauna session use?
The HUUM heater consumes approximately 6 kW/h. A typical session of 45 minutes heating + 20-30 minutes of use equates to 1-2 EUR per session, depending on your electricity tariff. Less than a spa entry.
Do I need building work or plumbing to install an outdoor sauna?
No. The NOOK Sauna only needs an electrical connection (carried out by your local electrician following the specifications we provide). It requires no plumbing or drainage. Screw pile foundations are included in the service.
What maintenance does an outdoor Finnish sauna need?
Minimal. The hemlock interior is cleaned with a damp cloth after each use. The thermowood exterior is re-stained every 5 years. No moving parts, no filters. The HUUM heater is virtually maintenance-free.
